I realize that after a while, having seen enough films, all movies start to resemble one another. However, Wesley Snipes' action movies have taken this principle to a completely new level. Stereotypical and rather predictable, there is actually a scene in The Art of War where a fat, balding, New York City detective rips open his button down shirt, revealing that he'd been shot in his bulletproof vest while stating, "I'm too old for this shit." With a plot focused on the Chinese, the usual Chinese actors are present here, including Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa as the Donald Trump of China. Wesley stars as a covert agent working for the United Nations who uncovers a conspiracy to keep China's trade embargo with the United States and the rest of the world in place. Save for several interesting shots of criminals jumping off three and four story buildings, landing on their feet and hopping up to run away, this was completely vacuous and redundant material.
