Shot in England, B. Monkey is a rather captivating little number about a jewel thief, Beatrice (Asia Argento), nick-named B. Monkey for her ability to get into highly secure buildings, who falls in love with an honest elementary school teacher, Michael (Jared Harris), much to the chagrin of her partners in crime, Dutch (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and Felix (Rupert Everett). Argento's flirtatiously pernacious performance in the lead is quite solid and her chemistry with Harris far better than the industry standard. This was an interesting take on what has become a somewhat run-of-the-mill relationship between criminals and their general public significant others.
