A movie that lives up to it's name, I found Dick to be virtually unwatchable with the writing, jokes and actors stale like the Saturday Night Live programs of the mid-'90's. From the opening scene where Carl Bernstein (Bruce McCulloch) tells Bob Woodward (Will Ferrell) that he "smells like cabbage" in a staged altercation to the end credits, I was uncomfortable and rarely amused. The Dick in the title is, of course, Richard Nixon (Dan Hedaya), who finds himself in hot water when two of the most moronic girls this side of the Full House cast (Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams) stumble upon his illegal proceedings at the Watergate Hotel. The girls, for their part, turn out to be, collectively, Deep Throat. There have been some very good films made about this era, Dick just wasn't one of them.
