Starring Josh Hartnett, Famke Janssen, et al. Released to DVD on June 15, 1999.

Screenwriter Kevin Williamson has made a career out of putting teenagers in harms way. It began with Scream, continued with I Know What You Did Last Summer, and comes to a head with The Faculty. Starring Elijah Wood, the plot of The Faculty is just like Scream, except all the high school teachers are aliens. When some creatures from outer space land in rural Ohio they begin multiplying and taking over the bodies of unsuspecting students and faculty members. If this seems vaguely reminiscent of a teenager Invasion of the Body Snatchers, guess what, it's because that's precisely what The Faculty is. With material such as this, directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado) I expected to be blown away with interesting camera set-ups, action scenes and twists on the standard teenage fare. What I got was both Rodriguez's and Williamson's weakest effort to date.
