Ben Affleck stars as Rudy Duncan, an ex-con who was just released from prison. Rudy has gotten himself into a bit of trouble because (deep breath) he impersonated his now dead cell-mate, Nick, in order to meet the beautiful girl, Ashley (Charlize Theron), who had been writing to Nick and is now being blackmailed into participating in a robbery masterminded by the girl's vicious, long-haired brother, Gabriel (Sinise). Written by Ehren Kruger (Arlington Road, Scream 3) and directed by the once talented John Frankenheimer, Reindeer Games is an abysmal action movie. The plot (and its many, many twists) is unbelievable and the acting by Affleck, Theron and Sinise decidedly sub-par. Predictable almost to a fault, Reindeer Games was a poor excuse for a thriller. I sincerely hope that this was Kruger's third strike in Hollywood.
