Starring Pierce Brosnan, Rene Russo, et al. Released to DVD on January 4, 2000.

The Thomas Crown Affair, like the better James Bond movies, is a slick, glossy adventure flick. Starring Pierce Brosnan and the delightful and topless Rene Russo, The Thomas Crown Affair follows Thomas Crown (Brosnan), a bored multi-billionaire, who steals priceless works of art as a method of keeping himself challenged and excited about life. After lifting a painting from a museum he shouldn't have, insurance investigator Catherine Banning (Russo) enters the scene, eager to nail Crown. On the surface, it may seem ridiculous and simplistic to compare The Thomas Crown Affair with a Bond film, but you can't escape the clever one-liners, the suaveness and untouchable nature of Brosnan's lead and the sleek, rapid-paced on-screen action. This was well funded, well made and well worth renting.
