This was the first photo shoot in which I'd ever participated where I wasn't wearing shoes. Attending the Puerto Vallarta Film Festival (read the article), I was to shoot one ofShrek 2's directors, Conrad Vernon, at the Punta Mita resort, just north of Puerto Vallarta. Vernon and I were hanging out around the pool with his girlfriend, some of his friends, several publicists and actor John C. Reilly and his wife when it came time to do the shoot. It was also the first photo shoot in which I'd ever participated where my subject was being heckled from off-camera. Vernon's friends would yell, "Boy band! Boy band!" and I'd then get a photo of Vernon being pouty. Then they'd yell, "Sexy! Sexy!" and I'd get a different photo. My favorite was when someone insulted Vernon and he started to get up to tear off after them. Very rarely do you get moments like this on film. This particular photo below, which I have had blown up and have hanging in my office now, came near the end of the shoot when the heckling died down.
