Starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, et al. Released to DVD on November 17, 1998.

This is another mildly amusing entry into the 'up all night, last day of high school party'. Teenagers drink a lot, smoke a lot, have sex a lot, and bond a lot. Can't Hardly Wait is pretty standard fare, with Jennifer Love Hewitt starring as the 'it' girl, Amanda Beckett, who has recently been dumped by her stupid jock boyfriend. Learning of this, Preston Myers (Ethan Embry) decides now is the time to make his move. There are several other weaker sub-plots involving acceptance, the cool jocks hanging out with the nerds, and people being true to themselves, but this is seen elsewhere in far better form. Writer/directors Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont don't strain themselves delving into new territory, but deal with the material at hand in a fairly light, Clueless-like manner. Can't Hardly Wait pales in comparison to other teen films like Sixteen Candles and Dazed and Confused, but, thanks to an amazing performance by Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Seth Green, is entertaining in its own right.
