Starring Heather Graham, Luke Wilson, et al. Released to DVD on October 10, 2000.
Heather Graham stars as Joline, a blissful newlywed, deeply in love with her husband, Carl (Luke Wilson). She strongly believes in the marital vows that they exchanged, often making a point to discuss with family and friends how sacred the vows are to her. However, with his photography career progressing very slowly, Carl packs his bags and leaves Joline and their SoHo apartment behind, intent on finding himself. With no clues to her husband's whereabouts, save for a single postcard with a picture of a cactus on it, Joline rents a car and heads southwest in an effort to find her husband and make sure that he is safe. Committed is a very charming, warm-hearted film. Graham's presence in the lead role as Joline is formidable--it is hard to imagine any other actress portraying Joline's character with as equally adept a style as Graham. Doe-eyed and innocent, yet strong willed and determined, Joline is a striking contrast to the characters Graham has been playing as of late. Delightfully unassuming with solid acting contributions from the whole cast, Committed is an excellent example of what is right with movies today.
