Sometimes just saying "avoid it" doesn't do it. This is a film that deals with the relationship between farmers and their peasants... Set in the 18th Century... In Europe... Spoken in German, with English sub-titles. This was effectively Viewer Off. Rather unsympathetic characters fill a rather tedious script focusing on a rather bland story about a rather uninteresting period in history. Living the lifestyle of this time-getting up at the crack of dawn to milk cows and collect eggs from chickens-seems far more enjoyable than actually watching it on celluloid.
