Director Michael Lantieri's movie Komodo is official proof that the revival of the big-animal disaster movies is over. When a couple of young Komodo dragons are dropped onto a rural island in North Carolina, nobody notices until sometime 20 years later when the Komodos have put human flesh at the top of their dinner menus. And then only two guys working for an oil company notice. They encounter a psychologist and her patient and together the group tries to make it through the night alive. The special effects in this movie are surprisingly good, given how terrible the film turned out to be. However to call them a redeeming feature is quite a stretch.
