A year ago, Claire Danes was one of the most promising of the young Hollywood actresses. With well performed turns in William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet and Polish Wedding tucked snuggly under her belt, Danes took leave of her senses and attacked The Mod Squad and Brokedown Palace projects, two movies whose combined star rating would top out at two. In this wooden reworking of the popular'60's action/drama, Julie (Danes), Lincoln (Omar Epps), and Peter (Giovanni Ribisi) are three teenage hoodlums given a second chanceóa chance to become cops, no lessóand to stay out of jail. Then Julie, Lincoln and Peter do stuff. Bad, ugly, horrible acted stuff. This series should have stayed in the '60's.
