One of the most defining measures of a person is what he will do when facing adverse conditions. When life takes a turn in the wrong direction, certain people crumble under the strain, while others work to overcome the obstacles, becoming better people along the way. Standing squarely in the middle of this metaphoric fork in the road is SLC Punk's lead character, Stevo (Matthew Lillard). Set in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1985, SLC Punk is a no holds barred look at Stevo's transition from a college graduate to figuring out what comes next. Believing firmly in anarchy and chaos, the choice initially seems easy for Stevo: hang out with best friend and fellow punk, Heroin Bob (Michael Goorjian) and work to undermine the system. However, Stevo's life isn't as cut and dried as that, as he also graduated from college near the top of his classóIf he truly believes in anarchy, why would he study and have such good grades? What follows is a touching and often humorous look at one punk's attempts to find himself.
