Starring Mike Myers, Heather Graham. Released to DVD on November 16, 1999.
The original Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery was a surprise hit to say the least. Star and writer, Mike Myers' script was innovative and off beat. The Spy Who Shagged Me, the inevitable follow up to the successful original, took what was funny in International Man of Mystery and woodenly reworked those scenes into The Spy Who Shagged Me. The addition of Mini-Me (Verne Troyer), a clone 1/8 the size of Dr. Evil (Myers) was comedic genius, but the great majority of other attempts at humor fell short because A) they were really, really nasty (Austin drinking liquid crap for one) or B) just stupid (the introduction of a character named Fat Bastard). The thought of another Austin Powers' sequel is scarier than anything in The Blair Witch Project.
