Starring Casper Van Dien, Jane March, et al. Released to DVD on October 13, 1998.

Tarzan and the Lost City is one of those rare movies that just doesn't score points anywhere. The Africans locations were initially appealing, but soon grew stereotypical as we were forced to watch Casper Van Dien come swinging through the jungle vines like... well, like Tarzan. The special effects were an abomination and the acting, courtesy of Van Dien and Jane March as wooden as Captain Ahab's peg leg. Van Dien stars John Clayton, a young gentleman living in Britain at the turn-of-the-century. Clayton is engaged to an English lady, appropriately named Jane (March). Clayton was raised in the jungles of Africa, and speaks with a southern Californian accent. While Clayton was growing up in the heart of darkness, (John of the Jungle?) he developed enormous biceps and pecs and made friends with the native tribes, helping them fight off the evil white men in the territory. One night, while at his own bachelor party, Clayton receives a telepathic message from the leader of one of the tribes he associated with. So Clayton packs a bag and spends six weeks traveling to Africa to help his friends fight their battle against Nigel Ravens (Steven Waddington) and his nefarious band of archaeologists. Ugh.
